My collage celebrates the Old Swimming Baths on Alma Street in Newtown, Birmingham, a much-loved local landmark that closed a few years ago.
Although the building is no longer in use, its presence is still felt through the vibrant wall mural and the sculpture of a woman diving, both of which feature prominently in my work.
Using photographs I’ve taken of the site, I’ve created a lively floral collage that reflects the area’s history and transformation. My signature flowers are woven throughout the piece, symbolising renewal and the enduring creative spirit of Newtown.
