A Century of Surreal Dreams: My Journey into the Unconscious

A hundred years ago, in 1924, André Breton ignited a cultural revolution with his Surrealist Manifesto.

The Son of Man by René Magritte

This seminal text challenged the norms of rationality and logic, heralding a new era of artistic expression that delved into the depths of the unconscious mind.

By embracing dreams, chance, and the irrational, Surrealism aimed to uncover hidden truths and create a new reality.

I've always been drawn to the power of the unconscious mind.

As an artist, I find inspiration in the unexpected, the bizarre, and the beautiful. Surrealism has been a significant influence on my work, particularly in my exploration of floral art and collage.

I'm fascinated by the way these seemingly disparate elements can come together to create something entirely new and unexpected.

My art is a celebration of life, a reflection of the joy and wonder that I find in the everyday. I love to experiment with different techniques and materials, combining traditional and modern approaches to create unique and visually striking pieces.

My subjects range from the human form to the natural world, each infused with a sense of whimsy and surrealism.

I believe that art has the power to transform lives, to inspire hope and empathy.

Through my work, I strive to create a positive impact on the world, to bring a little bit of beauty and joy into people's lives.

As a Birmingham-based artist, I'm proud to be part of a vibrant and creative community.

I'm excited to see where my artistic journey takes me next, and I can't wait to share my work with the world.
