Collection: Birmingham landmark prints

This is my Birmingham architecture collage collection.

I've incorporated a delicate, monochromatic butterfly wings, blending into the monochromatic buildings, mirrored to create a sense of symmetry.

I chose butterfly wings because, for me, it represents the city's own transformation. Just as a butterfly emerges from its chrysalis, Birmingham has transformed over time, evolving from its industrial roots to the vibrant, cultural hub it is today. It's a symbol of rebirth, reflecting the city's resilience and ability to overcome challenges.

The butterfly's delicate beauty, wings and its flight also represent hope – my hope for Birmingham's bright future as it continues to grow and develop.

The inclusion of Birmingham flowers, woven into the building's design, emphasises how these historic structures are now deeply integrated into the city's life and culture, almost as if nature itself is embracing and claiming them.

The butterfly, therefore, isn't just a decorative element; it's a visual representation of my feelings about Birmingham: its past, present, and the hopeful future I see for it.
