Artist Statement

Hi, i'm Sandra and I'm a Birmingham - based Black female artist, best known for digital botanical collage. After spending over a decade in the Contour Industry, and as covid 19 hit, I returned to my first love, art.

My compositions are adorned with distinctive floral crowns, designed to showcase and inspire the viewer, to see beauty in all things we may often overlook I use a combination of my own photography of homegrown flowers and local architecture in my collages, for a unique and distinctive touch.

I'm influenced by the candid photography by Terry O’Neill and the contrasting floral collages by the 17th century botanical artist and (collage pioneer) Mary Delaney.

I intend to fill your spaces with a touch of positivity and gorgeous floral art.

I am a passionate and innovative designer with over 16 years of experience in the contour industry, specialising in lingerie and swimwear. I have had the privilege of designing for high-profile clients, with my work showcased at New York Fashion Week.

With a strong background in textile design, graphic design, photography, and fine art, I love blending these skills to create unique and original collages.
